Me and friends have ridden with this kid and he has gone down glen cove road at 160mph on his r6 like he was running from the police.He also has a lamborghini murcielago(his fathers) and has took a friend for a ride at again 160mph and my friend had to tell him to slow down. Was anybody riding with him friday night. I hope he wasnt speeding but even if he was if the suv wasnt parked their he would not have hit anything and died. Make people start on a smaller CC bike when riding on PUBLIC roads. Private roads ride whatever you want public roads safety of the populace trumps your individual rights. Just cause it was a 19 year old that crashed doesn't mean all 19 year olds are all reckless.

I'm 18 and have a R1 and would be pissed if that was taken away cause Ive been riding for 2 years and work a full time to pay for among other things too. Your standpoint on people of certain age is like the sterotype of asian or women drivers being bad(example) just cause alot of people think that women are bad drivers doesn't mean they Should have limitations with driving. Btw I'm not trying to start an arguement just stating another side of it. Sounds like the kid was going to fast for his own good and his luck finally caught up with him. If he managed to hit an already crashed SUV sitting on the road, because he couldn't see it, then he was going to fast for the conditions. I think there is assumption that he was going too fast when the article doesn't list any detail of that. He may have been going to fast, but that doesn't mean the guy in the SUV should have been driving drunk either.

The OP maybe should not have mentioned the kid was reckless, but let the investigation determine that. Sounds like a lot of people in here are taking what the OP said and saying leaning towards the kid being at fault. I do not agree with people riding 160 on the street. You are only waiting for an accident to happen with speeds like that, but the drunk driver needs to rot as well in this case.
